Dr Hii is a Consultant Cardiologist with vast experience in general cardiology issues. He specialises in interventional procedures including coronary angiography and angioplasty. He graduated from University of New South Wales. He completed his physician training in Prince of Wales Hospital, Prince Henry Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Canberra Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Prince Charles Hospital.
Dr Hii is an investigator in numerous International randomised controlled trials as well as a regional examiner for physician speciality examination for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He teaches medical students from the Australian National University at Calvary campus.
Dr Hii has admitting rights at Calvary Public Hospital, Calvary Private Hospital, Calvary John James Hospital and the National Capital Private Hospital. He consults at our Calvary Clinic rooms.
Dr Muayad Alasady
Cardiologist and Cardiac
Dr Muayad Alasady, MBBS, PhD, FRACP, FHRS is a well-established Staff Specialist Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Canberra and Calvary Hospitals. He is also a senior lecturer at the Medical School of the Australian National University. Dr Alasady completed his basic and advanced Physician training at Canberra Hospital and was awarded the Best Registrar prize during this time. Dr Alasady embarked on a clinical Fellowship with PhD program at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and University of Adelaide under the supervision of Professor Prash Sanders and Dr Glenn Young. His thesis focussed on atrial arrhythmias during myocardial infarction. Dr Alasady has published many articles in prestigious journals in the field of Cardiac Electrophysiologist. He has also won or been a finalist for many awards that were held during multiple respectful scientific meetings in his field, including the Cardiac Society Meeting of Australia and New Zealand, Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Disorder Conference and North America Heart Rhythm Society Conference.
Since his return to the ACT, Dr Alasady established the first cardiac electrophysiological services in the state at the National Capital Private Hospital in 2013. The unit has grown over the years and a many complex ablations and device implantations have been performed over the last 6 years. He has brought many new services to the ACT, including cardiac ablation and implantation of new devices such as subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator and leadless pacemaker. Dr Alasady has attended numerous respectful institutions across the globe from Asia to Europe and North America with a mission to exchange experience and keep his knowledge up-to-date with new technology.
Dr Siang Soh

Dr Siang Yong Soh graduated from University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne (Acute and General Medicine) and Canberra Hospital/Calvary Public Hospital (Cardiology). He is a general cardiologist with a special interest in echocardiography including stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography.
Dr Soh enjoys teaching medical students at Australian National University and Calvary Hospital and coordinating education for cardiology advanced trainees at Canberra Hospital and Calvary Hospital.
Dr Soh looks after patients at Calvary Public Hospital, Calvary Private Hospital and the National Capital Private Hospital. He consults at our Calvary Clinic rooms.
